I’ve been getting caught up with online stuff. I uploaded some photos to flickr and such. It’s been a nice sunny day today.
Tomorrow I need to go to the post office to see about my filter. I wants it! We have the front room and kitchen partially unpacked.
Woo! I had so much to say, but as soon as I started typing my mind went blank. Boo. Kai has today off. We’re going to try to get the baby’s room together so she can start hopefully sleeping in there.
I found this cute blue/white/brown polka dot shelf liner at Target the other day. So I’ve been lining the kitchen drawers with it since they were totally unlined and icky. I’m gonna tackle the cabinets soon. I can’t wait til things settle down so we can go to the zoo and the coast. I miss the water and the sand and everything! I wish the water on this coast was as nice as it was in Florida.
Speaking of the coast have you seen Wilmington real estate? It’s preeettty!
So we’re like 95% moved in! We just have some random things to go through at the apartment and then we’re done! Yay! We slept at the house last night, it was nice. I just got done baking chicken, yep at 1am. We’ve had some pretty long days the past couple of days. Now we just have to get unpacked and put everything away. Fumiko is still doing great. The state health department called us this morning. The hospital sent her cultures over to them and they started testing them. She’s been diagnosed with Salmonella poisoning. They’re still testing it to see exactly what strain it is and whether or not it’s the strain that’s been going around with the whole tomato fiasco. But she’s doing fine now and back to her old self. We’ve been completely paranoid with her since she got sick. We’ll probably be paranoid for awhile until her immune system gets built back up.
Kai and I have an appointment later today at 3:30pm to meet with Miss Sonia and Sascha’s new first grade teacher.
Hopefully that goes well. I’m so tired, Kai is so tired. We’re exhausted!
My mom is setting up herself a little office on the lower level of the house. She wants to start up a small practice here. She was looking at some digital signage things earlier. I had to keep reminding her this is a residential area, and she probably couldn’t have signs all over. Not to mention that I’d rather not have signs on our house.
Anyways, I have to go get Kai some chicken and then take a shower and head to bed.
